This week on Please Don’t Send Me into Outer Space, we popped in an old tape we found in a dumpster behind the local Denny’s. It’s label read “Most likely the worst movie ever made, or at least in the bottom 10, according to popular opinion and the internet at large.” Turns out, it was the movie Plan 9 from Outer Space from 1959! Famous for being bad, this Ed Wood movie is actually quite charming once you get past the super cheap set, the sometimes subpar acting, and the plot that is as good as most sci-fis from the era. And hey! The movie is in the public domain, so you can gather the family around the ol’ YouTube app and watch along with us!
No, not THAT Home for the Holidays. You mean you haven’t heard of the 1972 ABC Made For TV Movie starring Jessica Walter, Sally Field and Walter Brennan? Well now you have. Its kinda like that other Home For The Holidays but like real 70’s and real murdery. We might have found our new favorite Christmas movie.

This week, Aaron told us he had a big surprise for us as his pick. He then proceded to step all over the Lego town that Sarah and Joel had spent hours building that day. After he was conscious again, we watched Colossal from 2016! 2017? One of those. This movie from the same director as Time Crimes is just as much a mind trip as that one was. If you haven’t seen it, go in blind and watch it, then listen to our spoiler filled discussion starting at about the 25 minute mark!
This week, in this dark and uncertain future we decided to pack up the kids and take a road trip to Eden by watching Logan from 2017! This is as good a send off to a character as we’ve seen, and we’re going to miss Hugh Jackman in our comic book movies. With that in mind, it was great to see him slice and dice in a rated R format, although it is incredibly unnerving to hear Professor X cursing, so prepare yourself for that.

This week, as a test of intellegence Joel was locked in a room and forced to asked questions about the Disney Afternoon animated series until it was confirmed he was human. When he was finally confirmed, we watched Ex Machina from 2014! Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleason, and Alicia Vikander do an amazing job in this sci-fi thriller directed and written by Alex Garland. Just watch the movie ok? It will knock your socks off.
We know its November. We know Christmas is 6 weeks away. Do we care? No. Christmas is officially on here at Lifemark studios. This week, we watched Window Wonderland. It has Naomi Judd who is absolute perfection. And department store windows which are decidedly less perfect.
